I am doing my part to decrease my carbon footprint by going mostly all electric in my house, I am keeping my gas fireplace, because I love it! Goodbye gas furnace, gas water heater and gas range. Hello Solar Panels!
I was recently asked to contribute some suggestions about adding curb appeal to ones’ home by my insurance broker for her newsletter. Warning, reading this will cause you to see things differently at your house and may create new projects….
4 tips for adding curb appeal to your house:
Landscape/Hardscape: Tidy it up; trim and shape bushes & trees, edge lawn, add fresh mulch. Pressure wash walkways &driveways. Use pots to add seasonal plants and flowers for extra color “pops”.
Paint: At minimum, make sure your front & garage doors, stairs, and anding area are in good repair. Consider painting your door a bold & fun
color.
Hardware: Replace house numbers, doorknobs, lighting fixtures & mailbox to modernize the look.
Lighting: Install lighting for safety and to highlight landscape.
The next article, which was curated by the webdesigner, is by coincidence on the same topic of adding curb appeal.
