Earlier today I was talking with a colleague about home improvement projects (big & small), home maintenance, and the things we do that can add value to our homes, but more importantly, things we do that bring us comfort and joy while we live in our homes. I know, it sounds like a Christmas cliché, but in fact, don’t we all want comfort and joy in our homes every day of the year?! I know I do.
The ironic fact is that many people wait until they are thinking of selling to do certain projects and upgrades, and then ask themselves why they didn’t do it sooner. Well, today is sooner! Start thinking about what you can do that will make you happy, it doesn’t need to cost lots of money or time, maybe it’s as simple as decluttering, rearranging furniture, a fresh coat of paint in a fun, new, and bold color. The list is endless.
Not long after this conversation, another friend texted me the quote attached to this article. Samuel Johnson lived in the 1700’s and these words still ring true. Stay tuned, I intend to gather ideas on this topic to share with you.
And by the way, I am always available for in-home consultations, even if you are not thinking of selling. Let me help you find ways to enhance your home environment.
