I do not fancy myself a writer, much less a poet. However, on my 4th or 5th day in India, after a couple of cooking classes, and a few trips to the Delhi spice market, I was inspired to write a poem.
masala: noun- a mixture of ground spices used in Indian cooking.
Oh India- YOU ARE Masala! Your blend of cultures, religions, colors, sounds, and smells, all gathered together in this diverse landscape, simmering into a vibrant nation.
